Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of Rock County Criminal History. Accessing the site means accepting them. A person who does not agree should stop using the service.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not linked to a government body, private investigation firm, or consumer reporting agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act decisions. Its purpose is to route readers to Rock County, Nebraska record sources.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site operating independently of government. It does not store official records, perform official checks, retrieve a person's file, or submit documents.

The content identifies the Rock County Sheriff, trial courts, Nebraska State Patrol repository, Nebraska Sex Offender Registry, and outside tools that may support a lawful personal search.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is allowed only if the visitor agrees not to:

  • Violate federal, Nebraska, or local law
  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, or threaten another person
  • Use content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized access to a system or account
  • Deploy scraping, bot, or other automated collection tools
  • Interfere with site speed, access, or availability

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked service may not be used to threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, or discriminate. Nebraska registry information is published for public-safety awareness. Misuse against a registrant, including vigilante acts, can be unlawful and can carry criminal consequences under Nebraska law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Rock County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It creates no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Content and linked tools may not be used to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Set credit or insurance eligibility
  • Determine access to a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A legally permitted official or regulated check must be obtained from the Nebraska State Patrol or an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Nebraska attorney can advise how a Rock County charge, warrant, conviction, set-aside, sealing rule, or narrow expungement remedy applies to a person.

6. No Warranties

All content is offered "as is," without a promise that:

  • Information is always current, accurate, or complete
  • Access will remain uninterrupted
  • Every page is free of bugs or security flaws
  • An outside search result is complete or correctly matched

Charges, dispositions, public visibility, and agency procedures can change. Gaps are unavoidable. Only the source court, sheriff, or Nebraska agency can make an official statement about its record.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

A link may lead to a sheriff, court, Nebraska agency, legal resource, or search provider. The destination controls its content, data practices, cost, and availability. Review that service's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Rock County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative work requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site is not liable for damage arising from use of its content or a linked service, including reliance on a record result.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, and actions caused by that user's conduct or breach, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Nebraska law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Nebraska.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms take effect when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. The affected provision is adjusted only as far as needed for enforcement.
